Top Ear’s Very Own Debussy Tribute!

Today marks the 150th anniversary of the French composer Claude Debussy, a giant of French impressionism and a revolutionary figure of 20th century music.  His famous Clair de Lune of Suite Bergamasque has long been a favorite of amateur pianists, and the Etudes and two books of Preludes staples of the concert repertoire.

To commemorate this very special day, we at Top Ear have decided to release the first of a few private Top Ear recordings:  a recording of General Lavine–Excentric, the 6th of his 12 Preludes, Book II.  And playing the piano is none other than our very own Jeremy Lee.

As this recording is very much unedited, it contains a few glitches and slips, but despite that we at Top Ear are very pleased with our efforts, and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Last but not least, a very happy birthday to Claude Debussy!
